An afternoon at the park

This is the Propaganda Weather time of year in Twentynine Palms. What, you thought it was 120 degrees and miserable all the time? Au contraire. The winters can be beautiful. Granted, it also can snow (!) here and be terribly windy, but we do get some really glorious weather here occasionally, too. It's designed to fool unsuspecting people into thinking, "Hey, it can't be really that bad in the summer here."

Today was one of those days. It got up to about 70 degrees, with a light breeze. I took William to Luckie Park, the local playground, and we strolled around for awhile. We watched the high school girls' softball team take infield practice, and we played on a blanket in the grass, too. We were originally going to go this morning, but we didn't make it. But man, this afternoon was perfect.

Sounds like a wonderful afternoon!William looks like he was really enjoying himself and you took some beautiful photos. Aaron and I love hearing about what the Three Peas are doing.
