I never asked why because that was just the norm when I was growing up. We had these helmet/bowls saved from years and years of games and used them to serve ice cream at our Fourth of July party. I believe, however, that my father was forced to part with them when my mother began cleaning out the house. Oh well. Your post brought back good memories.

EleanorAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27616924.post-3606206182723730582007-08-12T18:57:00.000-05:002007-08-12T18:57:00.000-05:00David and Mark LOVED going to the Sounds games whe...David and Mark LOVED going to the Sounds games when they were growing up! They do need a new stadium and were in negotiations with the city for a beautiful new one down by the riverfromt, but it fell through. Aaron was devastated! I never exactly figured out what that mascot is either, but we always a loads of fun going to the games. (And always had ice cream in the little helmets - the goal was to try to get a complete set of all the teams.) Glad you had a good time!

Love,
DianeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27616924.post-63336263434840937192007-08-12T12:49:00.000-05:002007-08-12T12:49:00.000-05:00That 'game' sounded like fun!!!!!!!And--the pictur...That 'game' sounded like fun!!!!!!!
And--the pictures were great!
